Who is Leaf?

Leaf appears in RoLW: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, both the anime and manga, and the Deedlit's Tale manga. Chronicles of the Heroic Knight introduces Leaf as a young half-elf mercenary. She fights with a spear and uses shamanist magic—summoning elemental spirits. She is hired to accompany Spark on his mission from King Kashue.

In Deedlit's Tale, we meet Leaf when she is much younger. Her human mother and elven father were adventurers who fell in love. They married and settled in the village of Karral, Kanon, and lived a peaceful life until the Marmo invasion. Leaf's father was killed by dark elves, and her mother left to get revenge. Leaf was left in the care of her aunt.

Parn and Deedlit come to liberate the village of Karral from the Marmo, and among the villagers is Leaf. The quickest route of escape is through the Forest of No Return, but all the humans become lost in the forest. However, Leaf's elven blood allows her to pass and she travels to the elven village with Deedlit where they must plead for the lives of the trapped refugees and Parn. Leaf convinces the high elves that she is happy with her life, despite being trapped between the elven world and the human world, because her parents loved her and each other.
